Yeast Cinnamon Rolls with Poppy Seed Filling

Crumble the yeast into a bowl, add a teaspoon of sugar, 2 tablespoons of flour, and about 100 ml of milk. Mix and set aside for 15–20 minutes to rise.

Add the flour, sugar, and salt to a large bowl.

Add the yeast mixture, the egg, and the remaining milk.

Knead the dough for about 8–10 minutes, until smooth and elastic.

Add the melted, cooled butter and knead for a few more minutes.

Roll the risen dough out into a rectangle about 35 × 45 cm.

Roll the dough into a log from the longer side.

Place the rolls on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
