Who runs this site

Bakeidoo (bakeidoo.pl) is a personal food blog run by its author, who is also the data controller. Contact: bakeidooo@gmail.com.

What data the site uses, and why

• Server logs. Like every website, the server automatically records technical data about each visit: IP address, date and time, the page requested and the browser used. This is needed to deliver the site and keep it secure. The server is a virtual server (VPS) hosted by IONOS.
• Recipe search and ingredient assistant. What you type is sent to the server only to return matching recipes. It is not stored in the site's database; search terms may appear in the standard server logs described above.
• Language setting. A small cookie called bakeidoo_lang remembers whether you use the Polish or English version (up to one year).
• Your cookie choice and assistant preferences. Your choice in the cookie banner and simple usage counters for the ingredient assistant are kept only in your own browser (local storage). They are not sent to the server.
• Google Analytics (only with your consent). If you click “Accept”, the site loads Google Analytics 4, provided by Google. It sets the cookies _ga and _ga_* and collects statistics such as pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location, and the search terms typed into the recipe search and the ingredient assistant. I use this to see which recipes are most popular. If you click “Decline”, Google Analytics is not loaded.
• Ratings and comments. If you leave a rating, the site stores the name or nickname you typed, your rating, your comment and the date. No email is asked for. To limit spam, a one-way hash of your IP address is stored (the address itself is not). Entries are published only after I approve them, and I can hide or delete them; to have yours removed, write to the contact address.
• Administration. Login and session cookies are used only by the site's author in the admin panel.

Legal basis

Server logs, the language cookie and ratings/comments (including the spam-protection hash): my legitimate interest in running and securing the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Google Analytics: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.

Who receives data

The hosting provider (IONOS) and, only if you consent, Google (Google Analytics). Google may process data outside the European Economic Area under the safeguards described in its own terms. I do not sell data or use it for advertising.

Changing your cookie choice

You can change your decision at any time. The button below clears it and shows the cookie banner again. To delete cookies that were already set, use your browser's settings.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, and withdraw consent. Write to bakeidooo@gmail.com. You may also complain to the supervisory authority: in Poland, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO), uodo.gov.pl.

The site links to Facebook and Instagram. Those services have their own privacy policies, which I do not control.
